They also have the second compendium which is issues 49-96.
3rd compendium won’t be out for a while as currently Walking Dead is at #117 issues. You would have to wait till after 144 issue comes out. Or you could get Book 9 a that will continue of were second compendium left off #97-108.

so the compendium is issues 1-48.
Walking Dead Book #1 is issues 1-12.
In terms of price it is better to get the Compendium because you are paying 28 pounds vs 4 Books at 17pounds each so 68pounds. For 48 issues.
Hardcovers looks nicer though but you can’t beat the price
